Party members have special access to politicians and people in power, so you can use your membership to really make a mark.

Who to contact and how
Because each party has a different way of putting together its manifesto, and they write them at different times, the way in which you can have influence depends on the party you're a member of - for some parties it's best to contact MPs directly, for others there are online forums you can take part in and other ways you can put the pressure on.
