Oxfam’s climate change partners

In order to achieve the biggest possible impact on climate change and to secure a fair and safe global deal for the poorest people, Oxfam works with faith groups, unions, environmental and humanitarian organisations, civic leaders, and individuals from around the world. Oxfam is a member of Stop Climate Chaos and TckTckTck.

Stop Climate Chaos

Stop Climate Chaos coalitionOxfam is a founding member of the Stop Climate Chaos coalition (SCC), the UK’s largest group of people dedicated to action on climate change and limiting its impact on the world’s poorest communities.

With a combined supporter base of 11 million people from over 100 organisations, SCC has worked tirelessly since 2005 on preventing future catastrophic climate change - from pushing through the UK’s Climate Change Act, to ending looming plans for a monster coal-fired power station at Kingsnorth in Kent.

In 2009, the most important aim of the coalition is to demand a fair and safe climate deal at the critical UN climate summit in Copenhagen in December.

SCC is the coalition behind The Wave, the UK’s biggest ever climate change demo which will take place in London and Glasgow on Saturday 5 December.

TckTckTck

TckTckTckOxfam is a member of the TckTckTck coalition – a global alliance representing hundreds of millions of people from all walks of life calling for a fair, ambitious and binding climate change agreement in December 2009 in Copenhagen.
