Halfway to halving poverty?
World leaders were recently at UN meetings in New York to discuss the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) - eight targets set in 2000 to halve the number of people in extreme poverty by 2015. Well, now it's 2008. So are they halfway there yet?
In my name
Where commitments to meet the MDGs have been met, millions of people are now better off. But the pace of progress remains dangerously slow, and while some countries race ahead, others are moving backwards.
That’s why we're renewing our call on world leaders to get on and deliver, in our names, what they've promised. Watch the video to see who else is getting involved, then join the call for action below.
