Hello from Oxfam Campaigns in the North West. We cover an area including Manchester and Liverpool and all the way from Chester right up to Carlisle. Our team is made of campaigners specialising in activism, media, schools and youth and political lobbying. Together with our amazing North West volunteers and interns we help to end poverty and suffering by campaigning for long lasting change.

59 student volunteers (and a polar bear). 1000 kms. One big problem. One international summit. Lots of kindness from strangers. Sound interesting?
Climate change costs lives. At a landmark UN Summit in Copenhagen this December, world leaders have their best chance yet to build a safer future for us all.
We want to make sure that as many people as possible know and care about what's happening. That's why we're throwing ourselves at the mercy of strangers and hitchhiking from Liverpool and Manchester to the summit. We will be talking to everyone we meet on the way and sharing their messages at the talks. It won't be easy, it won't be quick but it will be interesting – follow our progress below.

Get involved: Outreach
North West Oxfam Outreach is a group of people that attends local festivals, gigs and events to promote Oxfam's campaigns such as Climate change and Health and Education For All.
We want to inspire volunteers to raise their voice and take action; so we give out information, campaigning materials, meet lots of new people and have fun whilst shouting out about justice.
Outreachers go to events and speak to the public to generate excitement about Oxfam’s campaigns. You don’t have to be an expert; you just have to care about ending poverty and suffering.
Get involved in Outreach in the North West! Get training on Oxfam’s latest campaign, get creative connecting with people, and get access to the best events; from music events to sport competitions, from local festivals to art exhibitions- your choice!
