Commercial partnerships

Oxfam has commercial partnerships with a limited number of companies, which raise money for our vital work. These partnerships generally involve the company donating a percentage of their income to Oxfam, usually linked to sales of particular items.

Gigantic, an online ticket agency, are an example of a new Oxfam commercial partnership. Whenever anyone buys a ticket from Gigantic, the company donates 10 per cent of the booking fee to Oxfam. All the money raised helps to fund our work around the world.

We also have a successful commercial partnership with The Co-operative Bank, which has raised £3 million so far. By taking out an Oxfam credit card with The Co-operative Bank customers continue to raise around £300,000 each year. Oxfam receives money from the cards in three ways:

  1. When the card is taken out The Co-operative Bank donates £15 to Oxfam
  2. The bank gives a further £2.50 when the card is used in the first six months
  3. The bank continues to give 25p for every £100 spent using the card or transferred to it

The great part about this partnership is that Oxfam receives money simply from people going about their normal business.
