A team of Aviva plc staff members, based in the Norwich Union office, raised the most funds of any team entered in Trailwalker 2007

Aviva plc is a founding member of the Oxfam 365 Alliance, partnering with Oxfam in a high-level strategic relationship to support Oxfam’s ongoing emergency work. 

As a leading global insurance company, Aviva plc recognised the strong match between their core business operations and Oxfam’s emergency work. The formation of this alliance of both brands was therefore a good demonstration of ‘Forward Thinking’ in practice.

As part of this partnership Aviva plc receives the highest level of relationship management from Oxfam. The alliance was launched to staff by senior members of both companies at a launch event, and further announced to staff and clients by the erection of an Oxfam emergency water tank in their London head office reception area.

Aviva’s international staff receive ongoing bi-monthly email updates about the current emergencies Oxfam is responding to as well as a six-monthly and annual report. In addition to this Aviva plc produced a calendar featuring the Oxfam 365 Alliance to communicate their relationship to staff.

Aviva plc staff have also participated in fundraising events to raise additional funds for Oxfam’s work – such as participating in the annual Trailwalker team event, or buying Oxfam Unwrapped products.
