The possibilities are endless: why not organise a sweepstake, hold viewing parties, or start a five-a-side tournament when football fever hits?

June

Royal Ascot (15-19 June)

Hold a “race night” – get a DVD of some horseracing and ask your friends to bet on the outcome. And there are lots of ways to raise money on the night as well as selling tickets.

June

Summer Solstice (21 June) or Midsummer’s Day (24 June)

Throw a big outdoor summer party with jelly and ice cream for the kids and Pimm’s and cricket for adults.

June

Wimbledon fortnight (21 June – 4 July)

Organise a sweepstake at work, or ask your local tennis club if they would hold a tournament in aid of Oxfam.
