Oxfam's offices in the UK
While Oxfam does not place volunteers overseas there are several Oxfam offices located around the UK.

Oxfam's head office is in Oxford and there are regional offices in London, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Glasgow,
We have an ongoing need for volunteers in all divisions across the charity. Sometimes a post may require a specialist skill, sometimes it may need someone who simply has heaps of enthusiasm. It may be a full-time post over some months or it may be short-term and part-time.
There are lots of areas within the many departments at Oxfam that could benefit from your time and experience. The sorts of roles which volunteers are currently involved in include:
- organising events
- giving supporters more information about Oxfam
- finding out how Oxfam can engage better with young people
- designing intranet sites
- revising human resources policies, researching what motivates people to volunteer for Oxfam
- finding work placements for students and graduates, raising funds through events
- auditing our shops and other premises
And their skills? Our volunteers have a vast range of skills and experience like:
- accountancy
- project management
- administration
- research
- marketing
- valuing goods donated to our shops
- customer care….
…..in fact volunteers at Oxfam do almost anything!

If you spot a post that appeals to you then fill in the volunteer application form and return it to the manager concerned who will then contact you directly.
Even if there isn’t a current vacancy that appeals to you, you can still apply to our volunteer register. Then all your details will be logged onto our system and we will then be able to contact you if a suitable post becomes available. And whilst you are waiting for the right volunteer post to be advertised on the website why not consider donating some spare time in your local Oxfam shop? It will give you a fantastic insight into the hub of the UK’s largest charity and will put you in an ideal position when that perfect volunteer slot comes up.
