Oxfam GB has a recognition agreement with the OJTUS (Oxfam Joint Trade Union Shop) which is made up of members of three unions, and is affiliated to the Transport and General Workers Union.
OJTUS provides a collective voice for UK staff in negotiations with Oxfam about pay, conditions and other aspects of organisational life. All UK employees are offered the opportunity to take up membership.
Outside the UK, Oxfam policy is to encourage the setting up of Staff Associations or recognition of representative Trades Unions. Practice varies across the world, reflecting different industrial relations environments.
