Be there when it matters
Wherever in the world they're based, the results achieved by our Humanitarian Support Professionals (HSPs) are truly astounding. A diverse and international group, they provide support where it's needed most. Moving directly to areas of the world where humanitarian crises have arisen, you will be working with communities, other Oxfam teams and partner organisations to provide emergency aid and pave the way for long-term development work.
Now with the backing of the entire organisation, we're embarking on a major water, sanitation and public health initiative that will require a 50 per cent increase in our capacity. Which means we're looking for more high-calibre people with expertise in a variety of areas. And for you that means a chance to make a visible impact on poverty and suffering in the world.
Current projects
Each year more than 30 million people flee their homes a result of conflict and natural disasters. Over 500,000 people are killed in war. The livelihoods of many more are destroyed, and families are broken up.
Whenever lives, health, and livelihoods are threatened as a result of natural disasters, famine or armed conflict, Oxfam will take a decision to launch an emergency response.
