Pakistan floods
Relief efforts for more than 5 million people affected by flooding in Sindh province of Pakistan are threatened because of a lack of funds.

East Africa Food Crisis
Right now, 13 million people across Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Uganda are facing life-threatening shortages of food and water, caused by severe drought.
Where your money goes
Water
Without water that’s safe to drink or to wash in, people die very fast. In the last year, Oxfam has set up water supplies, toilets and taps for hundreds of thousands of people, even in the toughest of circumstances.
In just one year a £9 monthly donation can provide safe water for 144 people.

Health
In emergencies, thousands of people gather in camps without the facilities they need to cope. Stopping disease spreading in cramped conditions is about more than providing water and toilets.
In just one year a £13 monthly donation can train four health workers.

Shelter
Oxfam shelters put a roof over people's heads when protection from the elements becomes a top priority. In 2007, we distributed nearly 44,000 emergency shelters to families affected by the floods that hit South Asia.
In just one year an £8 monthly donation can buy three emergency shelters.

Food
Every year, more than 35 million people are forced from their homes because of conflicts and natural disasters. In Mauritania, Oxfam was there with emergency food when their crops failed.
In just one year a £7 monthly donation can feed 12 families in an emergency.
