Living to tell the tale

Seriously injured in the London bombings of 2005, Susan Harrison owes her life to the British NHS. This is the story of her trip with Oxfam to Georgia, whose poor people struggle to get even the most basic health care. It’s an experience shared by too many poor countries and one that Oxfam is working hard to change.

Oxfam and health

We are helping to fund primary healthcare for 36,000 of Georgia’s poorest people. But we can’t do it on our own. We are campaigning hard internationally on health issues so that all poor people in Georgia and right across the world can get access to the basic care and medicines they need.
