Video transcript: Seido Rooble interview
Seido Rooble talks about her work as a member of a water committee set up by Oxfam to look after her community's new water point.
I'm part of the committee and I wake up at six o'clock in the morning.
The community all line up the jerrycans and then what I do is that I open them and I call for them.
With the dirty jerrycans, I hold them back and ask them first to clean the jerrycans and then come back again. So when they've cleaned them, that's when I pour [water] for them.
We tell them that always, this is the only thing we have, this is our property. Please lets not break it, lets all take care of it.
We thank you to Oxfam that we have not been getting water this close before. And especially for the elder people, that used to go to the dry rivers and get the water from there, now they get closer. So once again, twice, thanks. Thank you for Oxfam.
