Oxfam’s Partnership Strategic Evaluation
Oxfam GB has recently completed a global strategic evaluation of its partnerships in order to understand
- How our partners feel we are performing in partnership;
- What we are learning about what contributes to an effective and empowering partnership;
- what we should be considering as we develop new partnerships in the future.
The evaluation was undertaken by a team of independent evaluators and comprised interviews with Oxfam GB staff, an online survey with nearly 400 funded partners and in-depth case studies of 11 Oxfam GB partnerships with organisations ranging from government departments to small community-based organisations. Findings from the evaluation are now available in the Partnership Evaluation Report and are summarised in the Partnership Evaluation Executive Summary.
The results of the evaluation have been used to shape and refine Oxfam GB’s new partnership policy. Further actions arising from management discussions around the results of the evaluation can be found in the management response.
