Victorian Vintage Antique Brooch, two pairs of Scottish Agate diamond shapes with a central Heraldic shield bearing English Lions Passant Gardant.

This highly unique piece appears to be full of symbolism combining as it does both Scottish and clearly English elements. Is this a political statement? a joining of families? Who knows?
