Mogens von Haven (1917-1999) worked as a freelance photographer from 1946 onwards. He specialised in ballet and sports photography, which was published in many books and magazines. From 1962 till 1965, he was chairman of the Danish Press Photo Organisation. Before he died, he donated his entire archive of negatives to the Danish Media Museum. Mogens von Haven was the first photographer who won the World Press Photo of the Year award.

John Percival was a theatre and Dance Critic, and died in 2015. This is one if his vast collections of dance books.
