Blue cloth, gilt; edgeworn and slightly marked, spine and front top edge sunned. Ex-lib, usual stickers to front prelims, faded stamp to title page only. Text block edges, eps and title page browned, a few small marginal marks but overall text clean and well preserved. iv, 523 pp + advert at rear. A rather shabby but good study copy of this scarce work of musical scholarship.
