The book in undated but, as stated on the title page, it is published by R. A. Everett & Co, Ltd. The introduction by Herbert Beerbohm Tree is dated May 25, 1904. There is no indication in the book that this is a reprint or a modern reproduction.

Hard back book. No dust jacket. There are marks on the cover along with very slight rubbing to the edges. The cover is in very good condition with clear text and illustration on the front and spine. Inside the front cover there is a name written in ink, and opposite '1/-' written in pencil. There is slight marking to the page edges. The pages show some slight tanning but no marks, annotations or damage and are all in very good condition.
