Rare antiquarian book on the history of ecclesiastical architecture in England. It has nineteen chapters covering the Anglo-Roman period up to the Post Reformation period. Hardback with cloth binding. It was published in 1848 and is in fair condition. There is some light foxing to pages and darkening to the edges of the pages and inside front and back cover. The spine retains the gilt lettering. The spine is very bumped and the cloth beginning to fray at the edges. There is some shelf wear and light staining to the covers. There are two owner inscriptions: one from 1873 and one from 2005. There are a very few light pencil marks inside from a previous reader.
