Recently rebound, half leather with marbled boards, gilt title to the spine, end papers new. [2], iv, [6], 147, [1]p. ills., plates. Illustrations include an additional engraved title page, plates of buildings in Southampton, of which 2 are folded, a plan of the Roman camp at Bittern and illustrations of Roman alters.

Included "Account of an ancient building in Southampton. By Sir H.C. Englefield Read before the Society of Antiquaries of London, April 16, 1801" and "Account of antiquities discovered at the Roman station, Clausentum (now Bittern) By Sir H.C. Englefield

This is a copy in almost fine condition, although the printing has tanned, the pages are clean and crisp and with no damage to the folded plates, a few pencilled notes in the margins, no inscriptions. Professionally rebound, a very attractive book
