London . J. Coker & Co., No date but thought to be 1948. Hard Cover. Book Condition: Very Good . Orange boards with black titles to front and spine Moderate spotting to page edges. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good - Unclipped (6/-). Grubby with a split at the seam of the front panel and reverse flap. Rubbing around the edges with some fraying at the head of the spine. One or two small closed tears. Overall still an attractive jacket despite wear and now protected. Contents of book are clean without marks or inscriptions and the binding is firm.

Jacket depicts a surprised Alice in blue & white dress with polka dots and white rabbit holding a watch with a green and white bow tie.
Illustrated by Mary Smith , The title page was originally printed as Illustrated by Bessie Pease. Publishers have printed a label with the name Mary Smith pasted over the name of Bessie Pease. Colour frontispiece 'This Piece of Rudeness was More Than Alice Could Bear'. and 3 other colour plates all present.
