Boule de Suif is the title character of Maupassant's short story. She is one of ten passengers in a coach, bound for Le Havre, which is leaving Rouen to flee from the advancing German army. She is traveling alone.

From the french of Guy De Maupassant with and introduction by Arthur Symons and 56 wood-engravings from drawings by F Thevenot. The text is in English.

Hardback. Publisher's brick red boards, gilt titles. Extremities rubbed. Some fading to front and back covers. Some damage to the spine cover. The front free endpaper and the half title page are joined at the top. On the back of the half-title page it states "This Edition, printed on Japanese Vellum, is limited to 500 copies".
