Lieutenant Boyd Alexander (16 January 1873 – 2 April 1910) was an English British Army officer, explorer and ornithologist. He was known for African exploration and was killed in a dispute with locals near Nyeri. Written by his brother, it includes Boyd's diary of his last journey. There is a fold out map at the back which is in good condition except for a tear on one edge.
No dust jacket. Blue illustrated hard cover is faded on the spine and the corners and spine are bumped. The end papers are discoloured by age and there is a bookplate at the front. The frontispiece, a photo of Boyd Alexander, is protected by tissue paper. The pages are uncut except at the top and are in good, clean condition.
