Product description

A rare 1930 first edition, first impression by this sought after children's author/illustrator.

An evocative story set amongst fairy folk, from the 1930s. Beautifully illustrated by the author, 7 full page colour, 8 full page black and white together with black and white illustrations throughout the text.

Ida Rentoul Outhwaite, (1888–1960), was an Australian illustrator of children's books. Her work usually depicted fairies.

Boards are somewhat bumped and rubbed, with a water stain. Blue spine is a bit faded. Some foxing. Front illustrated plate is partially detached and another plate in the book is also detached.
