Product description

Remainder of the title - "ou Les Recits de L'Oncle Edouard Tradjuit Librement de l'anglais". I have been unable to trace the English text of which this is supposed to be the translation. It is a series of stories related by the Uncle to two children. It is illustrated with engravings of various biological species and with some view of humans in the tropical forest.

La Societe des livres religieux de Toulouse Hardback with no DJ. The violet covered boards have been badly damp damaged. The decoration on the front and rear boards can still be seen. There is quite marked tanning of the pages and some show fragility. Exclusively in French. Presentation label on reverse of front cover - given as a prize in 1885 as a "Prix d'Encouragement". The binding is pretty good but sprung at pp48-9.
