This is a collection of French songs for young children. The songs are Marlbrough s'en va-t-en guerre ("Marlborough Has Left for the War": La Mere Michel, Au clair de la Lune,Compere Guilleri, Monsieur La Palisse, La Tour, prends gard and Le bon roi Dagobert. Marllborouh has a variety of spellings - Mal bough being the most common.

Hardback book Album Stahl Cover states Bibliotheque de Mademoiselle Lili et de son cousin Lucien. The title is followed by "Notation et Accompagnement par P Lacome" and Dessins de l Froelich. There are 63 of these illustrations - line drawings without colour. The illustrations are followed by the full text of the verse in French and the music to which it should be sung. . Blue bevelled boards, with green and black floral design and gilt lettering to front.. Edges all in gilt. There is considerable corner wear and to the top and bottom of the spine. There are one or two stains of the text and the binding is sprung pn pp 8/9 and 16/17 although it remains functional. No date.
