Publisher: George G. Harrap & Co. Ltd, London, 1931.Hardcover, 210 pages, no dustjacket. Cover, in green cloth boards with contrasting green cloth spine with gilt titling to spine, is in decent condition for its age. A little rubbing to edges and slight bumping to spine extremities and some light traces of wear to boards. Internally the book is in generally bright, clean and tight condition with a little tanning to endpapers and to the rough cut page block edges. Attractive book plate attached to front endpaper and a Times book club label attached to rear endpaper. Traces of rubbed out inscription on rear endpaper. Binding has loosened slightly at page 113 but overall firmness of binding not significantly affected. Overall, an attractive and sound 1st edition copy of this volume of stirring, romantic and pastoral poetry by this Yorkshire poet who also wrote many well known works of detective fiction.
