A good first edition of this scarce landmark work, published in 1924 by Courier Press of Leamington Spa and London. "Colour Printed Pictures of the Nineteenth Century on Staffordshire Pottery" by Harold G. Clarke and Frank Wrench. It was the first work of any note to catalogue in a systematic manner the colour printed pictures on Pot Lids which subsequently became so avidly sought after and collected. This seminal publication formed the bedrock upon which later enthusiasts based their researches and developed their collections on. This is an absolutely essential book for the serious Pot Lid collector.

Condition:This edition in not in pristine condition having rust coloured cloth boards that are worn to the spine and corners, pastedown has a dedication inn faded ink, interior binding is coming away from the spine but intact, interior pages are crisp and clean with a loose binding.
