Published in 1841 by Thomas Tegg, this is the tenth edition of the Alexander Cruden's renowned work, first published in 1737. Half-leather binding with marbled boards and end papers. Tooled decorative spine with title in gilt on maroon.

A concordance being a dictionary and alphabetical index of the Bible. This very large work also covers the Apocrypha. Divided into two main sections, the first lists common words and where they can be found and the second lists names and where they can be found. It contains some 856 pages each divided into three columns.

For anyone seriously studying the Bible this will be a valuable reference tool as well a fascinating document. It also includes a brief memoir to the author .

There is an inscription in the front cover reading: 'J A Yorke Sept '70'. There is also a signature on the title page. that is not really legible possible reading: 'Rev M Anthony A M '.

There is rubbing wear on the covers, with a couple of small (1-2cm) splits on one edge of the spine. Some foxing on the first couple of pages, however the internal pages are complete and clean, the binding is sound.
