Diatetif des Geistes

£24.99

Product description

This book is entirely in German.

Green cloth covered boards, the front has the title in a box, lavishly decorated with a flowing floral pattern in gilt, the rear is undecorated. The book details are on the spine, also in gilt and decorated. Some wear around the edges, but very little considering the age of the book, the corners are worn but not bumped.

The binding and hinges are in remarkably good condition. The page ends are coloured red. End papers are a very dark green, at the back there is some slight lighter colour marks, possibly damp at some time. There is a small booksellers sticker at the bottom right hand corner of the rear pastedown. A previous owner has inscribed the title page in small neat ink writing dated 1884, the year of publication and there is also a blind stamp with the same name and "Berlin". The pages are clean and bright the only sign of foxing is at the beginig and the last few pages.

Overall this book is in remarkably good condition for its age.
