Covers the grammar of Heraldry, its history and origins and its various forms including crests, badges, flags and coats of arms. Contains 450 illustrations drawn and engraved on wood by Mr R.B. Utting. Pagination: xix + 347 pages including index.

Burgundy-coloured cloth binding with blind-stamped decorative borders to front and rear covers, gilt lettering to front cover and spine and gilt emblems to spine; green patterned endpapers.

Good condition for a book of this considerable age: light bowing to covers along top and bottom edges, light bumping to cover corners and spine ends with board material exposed at corner tips; some page signatures have become loosely bound but all pages remain intact, 1.5cm closed tear to page 153/154 top edge; light foxing to endpapers and title page, markings to rear endpapers, light tanning to frontispiece reverse and reverse of final page, page edges darkened with light soiling to top edge of pages, occasional soiling internally but text and illustration remain clear throughout.

Our warehouse is situated in Winton, Bournemouth and is an online operation. Whilst not open to the public, we are happy to accept donations of saleable books, CD's, DVD's, vinyl, clothing and homeware.

Our online operation is powered by a team of hard-working volunteers (we're always looking for more help), sorting, valuing and listing on our online shop and Amazon.

We also offer books by the yard / metre / foot for set dressing  films, TV, theme pubs, bars and art projects. We can supply all types of books, starting at £8 per metre. We can even theme to your needs by subject, hardback, paperback, colour or date. Obviously the more specific, the more lead time is required. We may be able to offer local delivery.
