Cover, in tan boards with black titling to spine and front, is in fair condition commensurate with age with a little edge wear and 1 inch tears to top and bottom of spine cover exposing webbing. Internally the book is in decent condition for its age with firm binding and no inscriptions, tears, creases or significant marks. Foxing to endpapers and very light tanning to pages. Contains seven perceptive and entertaining essays by GK Chesterton - ' A Defence of Nonsense', 'Pickwick Papers', 'Charles II', 'Thomas Carlyle', 'A Meditation in Broadway', 'The Spirit of England', 'Two Stones in a Square' plus a bibliography of GKC's works. A splendid and rare little volume.
