Publisher: The Hyperion Press, London, Paris, New York, 1939. 1st edition. Hardback, with dustjacket, 130 pages. Profusely illustrated in colour and b&w. Cover, in grey cloth boards with brown titling to spine and front, is in good condition with some tanning to spine and board edges. Internally, the book is in good condition with firm binding and generally clean pages and illustrations. Neat inscription on front endpaper. Some light foxing spots to endpapers and here and there throughout the book. Light tanning to page edges. Pictorial Dustjacket is in decent condition commensurate with age with slome tanning especially to spine, some shelfwear to edges and some general fraying to top edges with a one inch tear to the top rear edge. Many wonderful illustrations in colour and b&w with scholarly and authoritive text.
