Full title: "Outlines from the Figures and Compositions upon the Greek, Roman and Etruscan vases of the Late Sir William Hamilton; with Engraved Borders. Drawn and Engaged by the late Mr Kirk". With 62 engraved plates in two states of images from the vases in Hamilton's collection. 62 numbered and uncoloured and 62 coloured in black and terracotta, trimmed to the image and mounted, with tissue guards. With descriptive text of each image. The spine title is 'Hamilton's Vases'.

Quarto hardback book with red full leather binding, gilt tooling, edges of text block gilt. The boards, spine and edges are worn and rubbed. Internally the book is in very good condition. There is foxing to the tissue guards but only minor occasional foxing to the pages. The engravings themselves are in very good to fine condition.

Oxfam Books & Music Berkhamsted

Located in the centre of the historic market town, we are open seven days a week. You will find a wide and interesting range of stock, including a great selection of children's books, popular and classical music on vinyl and CD, vintage Penguins and other paperbacks, and quirky and collectable items. Our stock is selected by knowledgeable volunteers, catering for both general readers and specialists. We are happy to check our backroom stock for wanted items and also offer a request service. Our themed windows are usually changed every two weeks, with our December Christmas displays offering a diverse and unusual range of gift ideas.

We welcome your donations, which can be brought to the rear of the building (via the Lower Kings Road Car Park). Please contact us before bringing large quantities to discuss arrangements.
