Publisher: The Marion Press, Paris, Brussels, 1939. Hardback, large format with dustjacket. Subtitled 'Reproductions in colour of paintings in the museums of the world'. Cover, in grey cloth boards with brown titling to front, is in good, tight condition with just a little bumping to corners and spine extremities. Internally, the book is in clean condition with bright and fresh tipped-in colour plates. Light tanning to page edges and to endpapers. The dustjacket is in fair to good condition commensurate with age, with general rubbing and shelfwear to all edges and small tear to bottom of spine and a larger tear to top of spine with some grubby marks here and there. Overall this is an honest and firm copy of a lovely book with breathtaking tipped-in colour plates.
