This complete set of 3 volumes is a first edition published in 1910, each with approx. 670 pages. Subtitled "A Complete Survey of the Animal Kingdom", the books comprise a series of narrative articles on various animals, their habitats and characteristics. The books are extensively illustrated in colour and B&W photographs and drawings. Gloss pages.
Each measures 16 x 20 x 3.5 cms. and is in reasonable condition overall with minor foxing. The core binding is tight, but Vol II rear hinge is detached from the spine, and the Vol III front hinge is also opening up. Vol III has 5 pages missing from the front.

Oxfam Distribution Centre Bournemouth

Here at the B.D.C. we source goods for stores in the Dorset, Wiltshire and Avon area, by house collections and clearances, corporate and personal donations as well as emptying numerous textile and book banks in the area. We have been awarded the "Best National Oxfam On-Line Store" for 2009/10. All of our items have been listed by volunteers who have done a fantastic job, and we are always looking for new volunteers to help us with our on-line operation. We are not open to the public.
