Josie, Click and Bun Again

£50.00

Product description

George Newnes Limited, London. First edition, 1946. 93pp.

Dust jacket is faded and has chips and tears to all edges and spine (no longer than one inch and mostly around half inch. Price clipped. Orange/pink boards with navy text, somewhat worn and dirty. Corners good but discoloured and spine knocked at ends.
Pages 12-13 have been lightly coloured in with crayon, (see images) otherwise no owner's marks in the block.

184 line sketches depicting the gentle adventures of a young girl and her two pet friends - Click the tin mouse and Bun the bunny - in a bygone world of innocence, with just one or two sentences of narrative to each sketch
One scary scene involving a large spider but all ends well.

It is unfortunate that the crayon marks are present but at least it shows that the book was once loved by somebody and it is otherwise in very good condition, subject to the damaged jacket.

Rare copy of title.

Oxfam Bookshop Market Harborough

Oxfam is the UK's largest second hand bookseller. Oxfam bookshops offer a wider selection of books than most shops, from modern fiction and leisure interest to more specialist subjects, classics, and rare or collectable books. We also stock an attractive range of greetings cards and a good selection of stationery. Come and browse!

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
