An incredibly rare signed, hardback edition.

The book includes lyrics which the author recorded with his bands, The Birthday Party and The Bad Seeds, plus a large number of lyrics not recorded or recorded by other bands. Also included are several prose pieces, nine individual short plays, and a sequence of five plays on the Salome legend.

The book is in very good- condition with slight bumping to the head and tail of spine and slight wear to the bottom of the boards. Pages are generally clean and unmarked with a small (3x3mm) stain to page 1 and the facing page. Fore edge slightly grubby. It is SIGNED by the author, "To Mark & Kath Love from Nick Cave 1988" to page facing copyright page. The dust wrapper is also in very good- condition with creasing and chipping to the top and bottom of the wrapper and a 3cm closed tear to the top of the rear flap. There is a water stain to the base of the rear wrapper which is not visible externally.
