Published in 1875 the title page of this slim hardback book gives the full title as ' Lascaris Ou Les Grecs Du XVe. Siecle, Nouvelle Historique. Par A.F. Villemain. With a Biographical Sketch of the Author, A Selection of Poems on Greece, and Notes Historical and Philological'. The introduction and notes are in English, the main text French. The volume is part of the Pitt Press Series.

There is no dust jacket. The head and tail of the spine are bumped as are the corners. The black and rust coloured boards show signs of having been well used. The front paste down page has a signature and date May 7th 1875. The hinge is starting to split at the front and back paste down pages. Internally there is evidence of spotting with some pencil annotations. However all pages are present and overall the book is in good condition.
