Les Guides Bleus : De Paris a Constantinople

£50.00

Product description

One of Hachette's famous 'Guide Bleus. Unusually this one covers the whole area from Paris to Constantinople, as well as Hungary and the Balkans. Packed with information and advice for the traveller. It contains 14 coloured maps and 35 plans. Text is in French and this 1920 reprint, was originally was published before the First World War. Includes a useful and extensive index.

It includes an interesting letter from the Admiralty dated in May 1946 thanking the owner for the loan of the book. It seems likely that the book was borrowed to provide information on the region during the Second World War. (see photo number 5)

There is a sticker in the front cover reading: 'A.P.L., shelf,XYA A1'.

it is clearly well read with some wear and rubbing, including a small tear at the top of the spine. Pages are fairly yellowed. All pages seem to be complete and in a good clean condition.
