Good condition for a book of this considerable age: ex-library with library name perforated to front cover and library stamping to front cover reverse; light wear and soiling to hardcovers and spine with light bumping to cover corners and spine ends; front and rear hinges cracked, all pages remain intact, sharp 3cm crease/tear and small chip to top corner of front free endpaper, cracking between page 130 and facing plate; light tanning to page edges with light soiling to top edge of pages, water-stain to bottom corner of pages and plates, otherwise internally fine given age of book.

Here at the B.D.C. we source goods for stores in the Dorset, Wiltshire and Avon area, by house collections and clearances, corporate and personal donations as well as emptying numerous textile and book banks in the area. We have been awarded the "Best National Oxfam On-Line Store" for 2009/10. All of our items have been listed by volunteers who have done a fantastic job, and we are always looking for new volunteers to help us with our on-line operation. We are not open to the public.
