Product description

The book binding is loose, and a few of the pages are slightly detached in places, other pages have been taped up. Many of the pages have both foxing, and dirt marks to them, including the page edges. Colour markings and other marks can also be found on some pages. The front board cover is lose, and the spine has some wear and tear to it, however the front cover picture and title is still clear as is the title on the spine. The free endpaper has an owners name written on it.

The 1916 second edition of the book was first published in 1910. A book that is not a guide-book but is considered to be a companion guide to one, full of pictures, observation and some bits of history. This edition was brought up to date, and helps to show London life during the stress of the war. Can be enjoyed by many people, whether you are a historian, Londoner or not.
