Good condition for a book of this considerable age: light wear to covers and spine with light bumping to cover corners and spine ends revealing board material at corners and front cover bottom edge, light slanting to spine, light bowing to covers along top and bottom edges, marking to front cover bottom edge; cracking to front and rear hinges, all pages remain intact, bottom and fore edge of pages rough-cut, 1cm closed tear to bottom edge of pages 197 to 200, 1.7cm closed tear to bottom edge of pages 201 to 204; light foxing to page edges, endpapers, title and contents pages, inscription to front free endpaper, light soiling to top edge of pages, occasional foxing/soiling internally, otherwise internally fine given age of book.

Here at the B.D.C. we source goods for stores in the Dorset, Wiltshire and Avon area, by house collections and clearances, corporate and personal donations as well as emptying numerous textile and book banks in the area. We have been awarded the "Best National Oxfam On-Line Store" for 2009/10. All of our items have been listed by volunteers who have done a fantastic job, and we are always looking for new volunteers to help us with our on-line operation. We are not open to the public.
