A collection of articles the first two and a half volumes having previously appeared in the Manchester Evening News. The remainder were specifically written for this publication. These are all first editions.
Vol 1 1906 pp271 Ten monochrome illustrations.
Vol 2 1907 pp307 Ten monochrome illustrations. Fold out plate of Market Stead Lane opposite p 242. Small white marks on the front of the front board.
Vol 3 1907 pp238 Eleven monochrome illustrations including a frontispiece of the author. Again a couple of small white marks on the outside of the front cover. Small ink mark on the fore edge not extending to the reading surface. Owner's name in ink on ffep with date 1907
Vol 4 1908 pp232 Nine illustrations
Vol 5 1908 pp256 Nine illustrations

Cornish of Mancester publisher. All with olive green cloth covered boards with gilt lettering to spine. Binding uniformly good. A few small and insignificant marks as noted above.

He speaks in his final volume of completing his work in seven volumes but it would seem that only the five present books saw the light of day.
