Tells the lfe story of Richard Brinsley Sheridan, notably his work on literature and in the theatre, with such contemporaries as Garrick. Includes his estrangement from his family, particularly his father, following his elopement with a young woman at an early age, and continues to his time in Parliament, including his involvement in the impeachment of Warren Hastings for misdemeanours as Governor General of India.

Back cloth cover has become detached. front cover good with some fading to edges. Spine good, but the top 2 inches are missing. Inside covers a little rubbed and grubby. Inside pages good and clean with some foxing only on first few pages.
