Pale pink marbled endpapers with tape residue in four corners. Rest of book is without defects; crisp pages and firmly bound.

Jacob Adam Kappey (1826-1907) was a conductor, composer and arranger born in the Rhineland but working in England. He wrote the first book in English dealing with the history of military music and its instruments.
