Moore's Manual of Family Medicine and Hygiene for India - Ninth Edition, 1921

£20.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

'Published under the authority of the Government of India'. This is the ultimate survival book for those venturing to the far flung empire. It has very detailed medical information and patronising advice for the young colonial. The hugely comprehensive contents range from the deadly seriousness (various causes of death) to the highly technical (how to manage childbirth) to the hilarious ('it is sometimes convenient to take one's own goat on a trip').

The book is in fair condition. It is well used, with bumps to the boards, water stains on the endpapers, and stained and discoloured page edges. The boards are rubbed and worn and the spine and lettering faded.
