Nouveau Petit Larousse Illustre

£14.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

French language dictionary/encyclopaedia.

Large book with pinkish-orange cloth covered boards with art neuveax image on the front. A small amount of wear around the usual exposed places, such as spine and corners, with a small tear at the top of the spine at the junction with the rear board. The corners are a little bumped. There is a small white mark on the rear board. Page ends have a deliberate pink tinge.

The binding and front hinge are in good order for the age and weight of the book; although there is a slight tear between the sencond free endpaper and the title page there is no break. The rear endpaper is torn at the hinge but the board is well connected to the binding. There is an inscription, in ink, on the ffe dated 1928 with a the same name in pencil on the first title page.

The text block is in very good condition, there is a little yellowing towards the edges of the pages but the book shows little sign of having had much use. The pages that have the colour plates of the maps are slightly miss- aligned so the edges are proud of the rest of block and are a bit frayed.
