Of Human Bondage - 2 Volumes

£24.99

Product description

An unusual edition of the author's classic.

Published by the Continental Book Company of Stockholm under their Zephyr imprint. undated circa 1945 This edition was not to be sold in the British Empire or the USA, presumably for copyright reasons. Wriiten in English, it is in two paperback volumes.

Of Human Bondage (originally published in 1915), a novel by W. Somerset Maugham, is generally agreed to be his masterpiece and to be strongly autobiographical in nature, although Maugham stated, 'This is a novel, not an autobiography, though much in it is autobiographical, more is pure invention'.

There is an ex-libris sticker inside each volume.

There is a fair amount of wear, yellowing and rubbing on the covers, with small tears on the spine. However the bindings are secure and the pages are all in good clean condition.
