This book describes great events in the history of the world from early days for example 'Marathon - How Athens Saved Greece' to 'The Last Days of William of Orange'. The book contains numerous attractive numerous illustrations.

The front cover and spine are illustrated, there is wear particularly along the edges and corners and along the top and bottom of the spine. The binding is sound apart from a small split at the bottom of the front hinge. The coloured end papers have no inscriptions. The pages, although are yellowed with age are clean and unmarked and in nice condition.

The date of publication is not given but we consider it to be circa 1890.
